College in REP (Eduacational Priority Network) 9th years (childs of 15 years old) with some scolar difficulties. 23 students.
The aim is to break barriers between disciplines (here maths/technology).
The class is separated in two groups with both professors if required.
At this grade, the schedule allows one hour per week in a technology class with 15 computers.
The work is evaluated by the two professors togethers using the references of each disciplines.
The competencies assessed were:
- Run and view a simple program
- Understanding of algorithm and program concepts
In order to achieve this, we use digital learning tools.
For instance, we ask to the students to create geometric shapes using graphical coding.
The students are quiet and very engaged in the activity.
The evaluation success rate for each student.
